The ELA standard I chose was LAFS.1.W.2.6 which deals with 1st grade students.  The standard deals with guiding students to produce pieces of writing through various digital programs and tools.  It also includes teaching students to be able to use technology with classmates.  I feel prepared to implement this standard of technology for first grade students.  The basic technological skills required to teach first grade students are skills I already have mastered.

The resource I chose from CPALMS was called Tree Cookies.  This was a lesson for first grade social studies that included interactive work.  This lesson deals with teaching students how trees age and how we can read this age through counting and measuring tree rings.  I would use this in the classroom because it's an interesting lesson and it allows students to learn about science in a much more entertaining way.

It is very important to be an efficient Internet searcher as a teacher because it models important skills to students and saves time for teachers.  I feel like the search skill of searching items under the advanced search tab in Google is an important skill a teacher may use in the future.  Using advanced search allows you to only see items that fit the file name or type you searched.  This could be very helpful in lesson planning and finding educational content.  I use the Internet search skill of image search in the google app.  This technology allows a user to upload an image to google and search sites and files that have the image within them.  This could be important as a teacher to find information on a subject or person you have a screenshot of.
