WEB 2.0
My experience so far using Diigo has been great. Starting out with the platform it took me a while to understand all of the functions and their purposes which was quite confusing at first. However after I learned more about the application I really like how you can create and save projects to your own personal library. I feel like this platform is great for collaborating on work with classmates and in the professional world.
Using Blogger has also been a great and new experience for me. Blogger is a platform that has shown me how much of what we will do in our professional careers will be online and how important it is to understand how to use platforms like these. Blogger has been much easier to understand how to use and the functions on the platform are less complex. I enjoy that Blogger makes it very easy to publish and post blogs to my account as well as customize these blogs.
Web 2.0 has turned the internet into more of an interactive and collaborative space. I feel like these features and tools are essential for teachers and students in the future especially as Web 3.0 begins to be used around the world. Jaiku is an application from Web 2.0 which is very similar to Twitter in that it is a micro blogging and interactive tool. It was later purchased by Google in 2007 after becoming a large collaborative space for people around the world to chat and stay up to date with the world. Jaiku could be a tool I use to make students post projects and assignments to or to research topics. Jaiku can be found on the internet and more information about the tool will be attached below in a link.
